What a busy nine months it has been! I started the year with a big goal: to make 16 Sallie Tomato bags as part of my journey toward certification with the company. Along the way, I also had the opportunity to pattern test and create some designs of my own.
Each project brought something new to learn, and that is one of the things I love about making bags. There are so many ways to play with color, texture, fabric, hardware, pockets, straps, and finishing details. A bag can be practical, creative, and completely personal all at once.
I have also had the joy of teaching so many people how to make bags. Seeing someone choose their materials, learn a new technique, and watch a project come together is incredibly rewarding. There is nothing quite like finishing a bag and saying, “I made this!”
I am sharing some photos of the projects I have worked on over these past months. Every project has its own story, and I hope these photos inspire you to try a new pattern, experiment with a favorite material, or make that bag you have been thinking about.
Bag making has given me a wonderful mix of creativity, challenge, learning, and connection. I am grateful for every project, every student, and every chance to share the fun of making bags. Here is to more creative projects, new ideas, and plenty more bags still to come!
Below are just a few of the bags made.

Stay tune for more to come. Thanks for joining me. Lorrie
